Setting data visibility for a user

Modified on Wed, 19 Feb at 11:29 AM

In the case of multi-branch companies, a user can be assigned to specific branches and given visibility of data within each one. These settings can be made by a person with Administrator permissions.

  1. To set data visibility restrictions, go to the Configuration menu >> Users, and edit the selected user using the Edit option (on the right side of the screen).

  2. Then, go to the Branches field to edit it.

If the user should see data from all branches but can only create data (e.g., orders) in the branches to which they are assigned, check the option above the table. Then, assign the user to the selected branches.

  • When the first option is unchecked (above the table), you can assign the user to specific branches and set data visibility within each branch. There are 3 visibility restriction options to choose from:

  • Only own data: The user only sees their own data (clients, orders created by them, etc.).

  • All data within the branch: The user sees all data (contractors, orders created by other users, etc.).

  • Own data, but shared client database: The user sees only their own orders, but has access to clients entered into the system by other users.

3. Additionally, you can restrict the user's access to specific modules by assigning them the appropriate role. Each role contains specific permissions depending on the employee's function in the company. To select multiple roles at once, hold the CTRL key on the keyboard while selecting the desired roles.
